Dunno mate, if it's the original engine then have a butchers at the log book (the code should be part of the engine number).

The Y25TD was the later common rail 24V unit which was never sold in the uk and hence it is 99.9% likely to be X25TD

My records show these alternatives:

BMW - 13622246084
LAND ROVER - 2246084
OPEL - 836225
OPEL - 90528813
PIERBURG - 72218400
PIERBURG - 72218450
PIERBURG - 722184500
PIERBURG - 72241900
PIERBURG - 72241950

u25dt is the earlier engine/ecu without maf
x25dt is the later engine ecu with maf, last one to be sold in Vauxhall form
y25dt is the common rail one only available in Opel, from 2001 onwards

Marks DTM ebay link is your best bet Lee, my info was from a German Autoparts webpage and the part is much more expensive from there!  :y
