Disconnect the wiring and put a 4 ohm resistor in its place.

Of course, your insurance will be null and void!

why will the insurance be null an void ? on the peugeot 206 cc you can switch it off so does that mean the insurance is null an void? and when my cars have gone for mot ivebeen told its not part of mot.

If there is a switch then it doesn't negate your insurance. If it doesn't have a switch then you are modifying/removing a safety system and your insurance is worthless!

Oh and sort your avatar.... maximum 110 x 110!

Try asking may be an idea?

Anyway it voids your insurance and most off switches are for passenger airbags.
