I got into my Omega Finally...
« on: 19 June 2007, 17:17:49 »

...

First of all, tried drilling the boot lock - no joy. Snapped Drillbit in seconds. Thankfully managed to get it out. Didn't have a man-enough drill here, so had to give up on that idea.

So back to plan B.

Involved - a pair of gloves, One concrete brick, and the rear passenger window. Followed by a powerful hoover.

After smashing the window, I was able to get into the car, and start the engine before the alarm went off. As soon as she fired up, the doors all unlocked themselves.

I've cleaned up all the glass, and secured the window gap as best I can.

Hopefully tomorrow, I'll pull the window out of my CDX breaker. I have changed rear windows before when my P reg CDX got broken into... not toooo bad a job to do!!

At least I can now get in the car.

Can you change all the lock barrels from your cdx, so at least the ignition and door barrels are the same mechanical key?
