Anyone know anything about the post 2004 models quite fancy one?
Heard of a few gearbox issues but other say they're bulletproof? Don't want a gearbox to go so would just stick to the 530d idea if they go through them.

Driven a fair selection of them over the past several months, working for Stratstone Landrover at the mo'....  Nice cars, well specced, good brakes, fine view of the world from up high.  More diesel than petrol, quite peppy when driven hard, as it were, once you are happy with body roll.  I also used them at the real 'work' before retiral and liked them.  Earlier ones (police use, that is...) broke transfer boxes, cyl heads, diffs etc.  Bit of a tale of woe but fine cars for the job none the less.

Will ask in the workshop on Friday and see where the problems lie.....

I've currently got a 2005 '55' facelift model Vogue TD6. It's not that fast, but has enough power, It's a lovely car, has everything you could think of and the fuel consumption isn't too bad. Things to check for, air suspension and electrical items. Even on the L322 model the air suspension can play up, the day after I got it I had to spend £170 on an air suspension component.
Some of the earlier models suffered gearbox issues, but I'm not aware of the post '05 facelift with any issues. Mine's for sale, £23,000  ...give us a a shout

have not heard about gearbox probs but the diesel models did have a lot of serious ecu faults  not sure of the year brackett but worth looking into

It's Buckingham blue (dark) with cream leather, blue pipng and burr walnut wood. You're more than welcome to come down and test drive it etc to get a feel for the thing. It's on autotrader at £22250, ebay at £23000 with best offer. But I would happily give you a nice discount  ...you know us car traders, we never miss an opportunity 
But yeah, if you want any info in general on them, or fancy a drive then that's not a problem.

Buck Blue with cream & contrast stitch leather is verrrrry nice, IMHO....   Can polish up nicely....

I like the warm fuzzy feeling driving along in a big car, annoying the greenies

I had an old one, it was a 93 LSE with a 4.2 V8 and quite rare because its was 8" longer that a standard Range Rover. I converted it to run on LPG which was really easy and getting underneath was simple as well, just press a button on the dash and the air suspension would lift it up

Got an older `02 plate p38

Its towed trailers, horseboxes and been in fields, equally happy on the Highways.

Not one single issue in 7 months and i`m also considoring moving it on for a newer one

They are indeed nice motors, especially the v8 when givent he beans, only problem is the air suspension can be problematic, seen many where they've been converted back to coils.
