This reminds of the debate we had many years ago in the Rover SD1 Club,  what "SD1" stood for :)

Shouldn't it be SDi  ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)

runs quickly for the door!!!!

Very quickly followed by a frying pan ;D

Just sounds cool i guess. Lower & firmer than other Migs so slightly better handling but no faster out of the box.
   Who said low spec? Digi climate as standard. Ok no satnav on mini facelifts but i don't use it myself, i can read a map. My MV6 has been fitted with cruise control, bose, full recaro leather (won't see that on an Elite). I'm still waiting for a privacy rear blind & shelf in black & the heated recaros only go up & down........but i'd leave you in my dust on the twisties....
   & i have the best wheels a Mig can ever have, along with a spare set! 8-)

Actually You will, leather sports recaros was a no cost option on the Elites, seen a couple arround, still prefere my MV6's though.  :y

The general consensus is that Opel (Opel released MV6 long before Vauxhall) called it Motorsport V6

Quite right Opel did release the MV6 2-3 years before vauxhall coined the name,and it was motorsport vairiant 6 cylinder as used in german and italian race series

Whatever it stands for, Opel used it as the equivalent to Vauxhall's Elite
