I must add though, level of comfort and noise highly effects personal preference for the daily user which also changes from person to person..

as an example bridgestone turanza er300 takes good points in tests and really is a good tire for timings and distances but comfort is awful for me..

and most michelins have short tread life and dont have grip after .. :-/

good work cem :y
with the cost of even a cheap set of tyres, impossibility of trying before buying (obviosly) and the fact that a tyre test specific to the omega is almost impossible to find afaict i wonder if this could be a basis for a sticky tyre thread top of general car chat?....possibly? .... admin?

ime tyres can make or break an owners opinion of these cars or at least save 15k of pain and replacing suspension parts if you happen to buy the wrong make  >:( ::)

Having all or some info in one place allowing oofers to make an informed decission would be helpfull i think...?

Maybe a poll to discover the most popular tyre etc :-/  :y

he he, a sticky tyre thread  ;D

Thanks.. :y

Agreed with you , a sticky tire thread will help people to protect their cars and their budget.. may be we can vote and share info.. :y

As an example, I spend a fortune (compared to my budget) to have good tires while testing many ;D >:()

I would suggest a vote, but it would be helpful if one could vote for more than one tyre.

My omega was delivered with Michelins (I cannot rememebr the model). I got nearly 40,000 miles from them and had no complaints.

I then fitted P6000's. They stuck well and lasted about the same distance as the Michelins, but tended to get flat spots when the car was parked for a few days. I also had one changed under warranty as the balance was out of spec.

well, looks like its only us 3 bothered about tyres in all of oofdom...  ;)i am sure a pole can be added with up to 20 odd entries going by the calender thread and associated pole there, but i'm not sure if it needs some input from admin to allow that many? which would not be fair on them...

anyone else with a comment...?
