Valuation of vehicle please?
« on: 18 January 2010, 21:44:18 »

Vehicle in question is a 2002 '03' 3.2 Elite saloon with 58k miles, FSH just had service and cambelt change, star silver, black leather, NCDC 2015 with GID 12 months MOT and 6 months tax, 1 private keeper...these are all the details I have currently.
I'm just curious what you'd value it at, I may have one coming in. I know what price I'd put it up at, but was just curious how much difference there was between my valuation and yours.

Hi Josh, on paper it sounds like the real deal, if the body is straight, no dinks dents and scuffs and all paperwork stacks up, i see it at around £2,500 - £3,000, i could be interested in it if you get it. Ray.

Got to be worth £2.5k-£3k if in good nick.
But then asking anyone to pay that on here maybe difficult, I maybe totally wrong.
I'd pay it deffo, but I've just bought one, well a CD 2.2, so that's out :(

Mick ;D

BTW.....I posted before I read the above post, so I guess we're on the same wavelength :y

You can have 2002 '02', or 2003 '03'....which one mate, it makes a difference.

Sorry, my careless typing... it's a 2003 on an '03' plate.

Retail: £3,046
Private Good: £2,606
Private Average: £2,266
Private Poor: £1,936
Part Exchange: £2,446
Trade: £2,314

PS

The above are book prices.

Some people (like me) will never pay book no matter how nice the car is, others (especially those that have the MIG bug) will quite happily pay more than book for what sounds like a nice motor with that sort of history.

I must admit my book valuations are slighty lower than yours KW  ;D
I've phoned around people who have expressed an interest in 3.2 Elite saloons, and have had an offer of £3400 with a 12 month warranty included. The warranty will cost me £200, so essentially £3200.
Of course that all depends if I do get the vehicle in, and it's in the conditon as described to me.

Maybe so on this occasion, but on other occasions you have taken exception to the valuation that the same book I use has quoted when you've had something up for grabs  ;)

My sentence deconstruction isn't too good tonight, I can't quite get if you're saying I sometimes ask too much, or below book value? I have read it 4 times and still don't get it  ;D I do need to get some sleep.

i think there is a suggestion of selective pricing, maybe, possibly, perhaps!

Roger Budden would put that on between 5 and 6k with that mileage.
