Was wondering if as said above, a spare manifold could be done and tank located first, then get together  :question

This has been discussed a few times... I think a "meet" is a bit ambitious. You can't really use more than 2 people per car, although an extra pair of hands can be handy when fitting the tank.

It's easily doable in 2 days with 2 people, as long as the manifold is pre-fitted with nozzles and we crack on. I would imagine it will be a case of having a rather long day on the first day to get as much done as possible. I would still budget for 3 days, perhaps 2 full days and the preceding evening (to start stripping down) and final morning for any snagging.

I'm certainly willing to come over and help anyone, as long as it fits around my shifts as I'm already running short of holiday this year with my other commitments. In fact... I don't think I'm going to be able to make any of the meets even :'( :'(

3x 2.2s should make it easier, as you can figure out where/how/why on first car, then set up production with each member doing works as necessary on their own/each others cars  :-/

My thought was to get 3-odd cars, 6-odd people, all the tools and know-how together and crack on.

I'd rather have just mine, done, signed off and sorted by tomorrow night  ;), but thought this would be an efficient way of getting owners, kits, experts, know-how and tools together in one place.

Any other offers/ideas  ;D

re lpg, my tupence worth, its important to know what your going to do before you do it, or you'll end up with a knightmare on your hands. To me, info is best dealt with on a hand me down tried and tested basis, better to visit a member who has been there before, see whats to be done, where it all goes plan it out in your mind ready to do the job. From there you can start with improvements in mind rather than repeat any niggles that may exist and impose that on all cars in a group session. Takes time, its defo not something to rush into, although the sooner you do it the quicker your start saving money.

If i where you i would research it, do a car, with others helping, then move on to the next car with improved knowledge and so on.

Having done mine, and with a fading memory of it dont forget, i suspect its possible to fit the front end kit in a day, rear end kit in a day, conect it up finnish off and calibrate on the third day, roughly. But thats with uninterupted work, no pondering on where and how does this bit go etc. Mine actually took me 3 weekends, and i had Kevins car as a template, and he connected the electrics for me.

The plan is for me to go over and help... It's only a 4-pot so plenty of space ;) ;)

I reckon, as above, I could do a V6, with a cylinder tank, in 2 days start to finish now, assuming I had everything prepared. But... I would want a bit of extra time to be sure. Probably like I suggested above, evening before and morning after just in case :y :y

Incidentally Chris, I'll PM you later (after I've had some sleep!) because I've had a thought about your running issue :y :y

Exactly.  And Mrs LD does like to offer her naughty box about a bit. And I really enjoy getting my face into her box ::)
