Have you ever named you cars?
« on: 05 March 2010, 21:42:32 »

I've had a habit of naming most of my cars... well, they named themselves for various reasons

My last car, 2005 TDCi Fiesta was called The Feist because being a turbo diesel she was pretty nippy off the line, thus Feisty

and I'm edging toward calling The Omega Tom for the front grills homage to Tom Sellecks tash  :D
or also due to the 'Cruise' control hehe

So I was wondering what other folks have named their cars! and why?

Not done this myself, but my (then) kid brother named my father's 1958 Morris Minor 'Bessie'.
Our dad thought so much of that car, that he had two new floor pans fabricated and welded in. Stronger than new then!

Someone said on here just after getting my elite that it looked a peachy car, so I called her Peachy.
Makes sense, Maybe not.

I named my Saab 900 Turbo 16 "Christine" after the Plymouth Fury in the Stephen King Film, as she had a mind of her own.... I named my Fiat Marea 155 "Kenny" (South Park), as it was unbreakable (still going to this day). Not sure about my Miggy yet though.....

Ha ha, nice one Jon - but it's not like an AEC to be a poor starter (or performer).
When I worked for the erstwhile NBC; they were my favourite buses, that's why I ended up buying one and restoring it!
Wanna see some photos?
