had an ex mod AEC 6X4 10 ton cargo truck, called it woodbine, it needed a drag to get it going most times. :y
Ha ha, nice one Jon - but it's not like an AEC to be a poor starter (or performer).
When I worked for the erstwhile NBC; they were my favourite buses, that's why I ended up buying one and restoring it!
Wanna see some photos?

helped when the batteries where charged tbh.
yeh send us some pics then, im a shareholder in a guy arab III decker ex burton corporation. :y

never named any of mine, they all just get called my girl or baby... :) an actual name to me feels weird..
and I couldn't imagine calling a car a male name.. Imagine trying to coax her home when she isn't feeling well..

A friend called his car trevor then would try to coax it home. sounded like:
"comon trevor, nearly there, comon not long now" (in a soft voice.) it just didn't work  :-/

If I'm correct Jon, didn't the Burton Guys have Gardner 5LWs and Massey bodies?

My car's an 'it'. Don't know why but it really irritates me badly when someone refers to their car as 'she' but so many people do it.

It's one of my pet hates, come to think of it  ;D

Carlton called The Louts (due to my daughter mis-pronouncing Lotus).

Elite called Marvin cos it has the brain the size of a planet and pootled around York at 5 mph most of the time.

MV6 called Kaiser Bill - probably cos it's German and looks hard with it's front bumper.

Wife's new car called Harvey (it's a Honda HR-V).

Always name my cars, think it gives them a personality, i have had over 20 cars over the years so too many to list here, but a few of my faviourets are :-

Cilla, she was a black toyota celica (Cilla Black )

Rosie, my 1st car, a MGB Roadster in red ( roses are red !)

Victor, my 2.4 granada (He was a grumpy tempremental old man, like Victor Meldrew )

Now i have Lady Olivia, my MV6 Estate(with a few special bits !) was going to just call her Olivia but she is a posh bird so the lady got added  ;D

My hubby (v6 fletch) calls his 2.5 omega BOB , cos he is a big old bas***d lol.

dont think all cars are female, till you drive them you dont know  :D :D
