I'm 37, only been driving the Omega for 3 weeks now, since I inherited it off my Late Father (who was 73)

I have always drive largish cars since I started driving at 17.

Still also drive a Landrover discovery 300tdi which I green lane and abuse ;-)

And the Omega is far more fuel efficient and cheaper on insurance than the Discovery

58 now - have had the Omega for going on 8 years.

Previously SD1s, Scorpios, Carlton, Cavalier and Austin Cambridge (in my teens). At 6ft 6ins not too many options.

Replacing Mig with VW Phaeton (eventually) delivery date now delayed to 25th March.

I'm 40 now but I've always driven largish cars I find them a lot more comfortable than the hothatches. Although my 3.0l V6 Renault 25 gave some boy racers a run for their money at the lights!!

I've only just turned 27 and recently got my Omega.

To be fair tho, my general opinion was/is that Omega's are less likely to be thrashed about because of the 'expected age of the driver' thing

My other car is a Rover....

....now where is my flat cap :P

I tend to flick about different cars, from the pocket rocket type cars to larger comfy ones. Never liked the really small 'shit boxes' as Tunnie put it (and I guess I know where he picked that up from  :-[), for me its always been Astra size or larger.

When I got my first Omega, the intention was to replace with a Civic Type-R once I'd got back from France.

Good!

Mind you, don't your mob from the Caravan Club recommend inappropriate, small Asian shitboxes to tow vans? ;)

Nope, but had it shoved in front of me when I suggested that Mrs TB's dad's car was too small to pull his heavy van, when CC were saying Astra class stuff from Asia was their recommendation, along with the Skoda varient of the Golf.

The CC mag is almost as embarrassingly bad/wrong as the CSMA mag that they have stopped sending me at last.
