530d is nice, but with my current millage not sure i can justify 10k on it.
Driven other Omega's always prefer mine
The 2.7 S-Type Jag is much nicer, and quieter than the 530, and so I am told goes like stink. (Not that I would know of course.)
The S-Type was last built in 2008, and there are quite a few low mileage examples around for about £20,000. But if you are prepard to accept something older, or petrol, you can get a very nice car from about £5,000 upwards.
Both the 2.5 and 3.0 litre V6 petrol engines are fairly economical, (at least as good as the Omega), and all come with the same ZF series 6 speed box as fittted to the 7 Series.
If you really like filling stations there is also the STR, which has the supercharged 4.2 litre V8 engine, and about 400 BHP at the back wheels. There are not too many cabbage crates that would bother an STR at the lights.
