Srap material .....
« on: 14 March 2010, 11:51:57 »

Local scrap yards will take scrap metal - which they buy by weight.

So, what do I do with scrap plastic? I've got quite a bit from playing with interiors - but can the plastic be sold for scrap or is down the local tip & let the council have it?

I know that - & have done so in the past.

But, I've got lots of extra plastic bits - will a scrap yard take them?

At our local scrap yard there are two prices. One for clean steel and one for dirty steel. Dirty steel price is given if you leave loys of plastic parts in/on the car.

But I dont have a car to scrap, I've got a boot full of steel and 2 boot fulls of plastic. All I need to know is there anything I can do with the plastic other than let the council tip have it?
