1939 Vauxhall 10 Silver with black wings.

4 doors, leather seats, sunroof, OHV Engine, Zenith carb, independant front suspension, hydraulic brakes, 3 speed manual gearbox.

Top speed (downhill with the wind behind) 60 mph.

Beat that!

.........I came late to Vaux ownership.......
My first was a 1996 V6 Cavalier (GLS on a 'P' plate) saloon.
It's what got me onto the GM V6 engine and ultimately, to the 'meega.

Wish I still had it  :'( (even if a front wheel drive motor)

just been the 'meega since :)

First VX was 1965 HA Viva SL CDY403C which replaced my disastrous Ford 100E Anglia. Never been so glad as to get rid of a motor and put me off Fords for life!!

Late Cavalier 2000 GSi, keep breaking down mostly on the M1, Company Car so not my problem, did buy an early Cav SRi 1800 for Her in Door's though seemed a lot nippy'er and more fun.

1990 Mk 2 Astra 5 door 1.8 SXi

From what I could work out at the time that must of been a pretty rare car?

Company Car, B34? DUX Cavalier Estate, 1.6 base model to replace a  'V' Reg MkV Cortina Estate white with a blue vinyl roof.  Vx Estate rear door was better and lower than the Ford, in all other ways the Ford was the better car.   :D :D

My first Vauxhall was a white 1978 MkI Cavalier saloon (1.6 I think) DYD 102T. The back axle started to go while I had the car and it was still going when I sold it!
