BMW going GWD
« on: 21 March 2010, 22:29:45 »

Saw it in a magazine - their next 1 series will be WWD.

Absolutely no reason whatsoever to buy one now over virtually every car of that size.

At least we will now know they are a knobhead and not a driving enthusiast after a smaller car.

Autocar they said BMW will be making a 0 series too, photoshopped images of a fiesta basically and that was also WWD. It wouldn't suprise me if BMW did make a WWD though, I hope they don't. Autocar do come out with come tosh though  ;D And I know how you feel regarding the supermarket you get dragged along too   :-?

I think the 1 series looks like a toy car anyway, especially the convertible. ;D

Perhaps they can get the proportions right if they make it FWD.

Yep, that's exactly what I meant. ;D Noddy's first day as an assistant junior sales executive (specialising in posing and making the coffee).  :D :D :D

Perhaps that speaks volumes.

And what about the Volvo 3 series? :y

The 343 and wrongly named 360 with 4 cylinders and 3 doors.

Not bad cars - weren't they cart sprung?

DeDion tube at the rear with cart springs, rear mounted gearbox/diff transaxle.

Pretty uninspiring but tough as old boots as I demonstrated by not killing my Mum's one. ;D
