I will incorporate your list into the master 8-) 8-)

I have now added most of the parts listed, but have not added those that I think are not universal across the range, but (maybe) just for your 2.2.  EDITI have highlighted these; can you confirm universal status please? ;)

I have added the cam belt kit, but is this the  same across the range? :-/ :-/

Thanks again ;) ;)

was leaving this to see where its going....

IMHO...
A good idea in principal....

A few thoughts.....

The list is getting a bit big an unmanageable, maybe split into Headings like common service parts, Cam cover gasket parts etc.

Also the accuracy worries me, consider saying what engine the parts are for, as for example there are :
7 types of cambelt kit
2 types of pollen filter
5 types of oil filter
3 types of sparkplug
5 types of battery
etc etc etc, the list goes on.

Not trying to dampen what you are trying to do, but fear it could be a bit of a white elephant...
If the information is not complete, then people may well end up incorrectly ordering the wrong parts, which can be an expensive mistake on special order bits.

A lot of people on here have access to the proper Vauxhall documentation in the form of the trade club site, or epc itself, maybe best left to requests and answers  :-/

That said, if you pm me your email, I can send you something which may help.

We did at one point have a full tradeclub list of parts / prices but it was not easy to maintain accuracy so it was removed.

This could turn into a labour of love for someone. Agree with Jimbob, nice idea but the way GM change part numbers is a nightmare.

Even looking at some of the numbers already on the list i can tell you some are superseeded.

You then have all the engine number chages, chassis number changes, no break point changes (GM don't know when they changed a part).

All i'll say is a great idea but anyone using the list double check the numbers are correct for your car, If your local is having a problem PM your vehicle details and i'll do my best to help out.

Once again great job and please don't think i'm stepping on anyones toes 'cause i'm not.

Thinking about it it might be a better idea to lay it out on spread sheets for each section of the car like EPC does. Eg

Bodywork Exterior
Bodywork Interior
Front Axel & Suspension
Rear Axel & Suspension
Engine
Trans
etc etc

Just an idea

Cheers

Thanks JB :y :y

I was awaiting this type of input, as I myself is becomming rather concerned about the complexity of the different parts for different models i.e. on the cam cover gaskets, and cam belt kit front just for starters, so I hear loud and clear what you are saying!!

Thinking further on what you have said, and what you say has been tried before, I think it best that we terminate this exercise now before someone does get totally confused and order the wrong parts!! :'( :'(

Thanks for all that tried to contribute to the list, but it just shows how something that seems so simple to undertake becomes a monster once being started!! ::) ::) :D :D :D ;)

Hi Liz

It was worth a try and like you said something that seems so simple can turn into a monster just like that.

I've the same problem in my own workshop. I 've been logging all the new and used parts that not just for my self but other friend have stored, we have a bit of a group buying thing going on.

I have to list parts for B series Manta's, A  Series Senators, Monza's, Opel GT's, Cavaliers, Mk2 & 3, Nova's and of course Omega's

I'm two years in and still haven't scratched the surface

Christ i do this for a living and a hobby...........i need to get a life ::) :y

Thanks Phil for that! :y

Hi Lizzie, I really cannot say whether those items fit omegas other than the 2.2 petrol? :-/  Sorry  :-[
