Whats it worth mark 73
« on: 27 June 2007, 00:15:25 »

As above.

Found this, not too far from me and at a dealer, with this blurb.  Warranty would probably be optional.

2001 Y Reg Vauxhall Omega 2.6 V6 CDX (LPG Gas Conversion)
Automatic, Estate, Petrol, 66,683 miles, Silver, 16 Inch Alloys

Unsure as to history with all the pitfalls that brings, who done the conversion etc but whats the concencus as to worth?  Its short of a pedal for me but does have  a gas conversion.  If I was to go looking further, what should I look for (apart from a conformity certificate for the gas) to ensure that all was absolutely wonderfull?

Gas will add quite a bit on - I'd reckon on that age another £1000.

£4000 would be fair £5000 top book £3000 buy it

For what its worth Brucie

2.5 v6 cdx W plate - 71000miles known history and full tax and MOT bought by me at the weekend for £1650.

So adding ooooh 200-300 for estate and Taking Martins £1000 figure for LPG. Deducting a bit for lack of history but this would be evened out by it being a little bit newer....No more than £3000 at todays prices.

Theres some really good bargains right now... :y

What issues with the 2.6?
The coil per plug units are working out less reliable than the DIS/Leads setup.  And seen a couple of throttle servos fail now....   ....the are bloody expensive!

Mine seems OK, throttle is not instant but that needs a clean

it seams the extra added on by dealers is too much in my opinion, whats your millage Brucie? If its not that high, the savings with LPG will be small. Unless you do 15k miles a year or more its not really worth paying the extra.
