Now, I have NO shame; I have owned 5 Ladas, 2 yellow Allegros, a Suzuki Wagon R, 7 Peroduas, a talking gold Maestro and I have never drawn a line before, but I was just browsing and I found this work of art:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201016357514702/sort/priceasc/usedcars/make/daihatsu/postcode/hr68lh/page/5/radius/1500?logcode=pAfter taking in the magnificence of the two tone standard paint scheme and matching trim, the 800cc auto powerhouse and the "daring" design, note the "special" styling tweaks;
1/ Homemade daytime running LED lights-the AA battery kind designed for the understairs cupboards, 12 of; the ones you have to press the centre of to turn on or off-all 12 of them. Convenient.
2/ Homemade reversing lights, as above, 4 of. Safe.
3/ The Sport badges front and back (0.8 auto). Ahem.
4/ The homemade roofrack with chrome towel rail embellishments, motorhome ladder and spotlights in a Matra Rancho stylee, with a worrying amount of straw. Scary.
5/ The use of chrome trim strip around the bumper edges, rear lights, radiatior grill. Stylish.
6/ The 4 bumper corner protectors (or used Always Ultra Elephant flow) for some reason on the front door panels. Obtuse.
7/ The screwed in dog guard to separate the luggage compartment or keep the victims in the cabin. Very scary.
When I read the line about carrying a shed pack on the roof it is fitted and do not come off, it rather summed it up-the shed base is still there with towel rails attached.
The line is drawn
