OMEGA SPECIALIST IN NORTH BUCKS?
« on: 27 April 2010, 18:15:50 »

Can anybody suggest an independent garage with good knowledge of Omega's in North Bucks / Milton Keynes area please?  I'm getting tired of main dealer prices on an 8 year old car!  Cheers. :(

What he don't know about Vauxhalls ain't worth knowing.

However, God help you if your car is Black.

He hates Black cars (which is why I don't bother any more)

Lack of time prevents me helping out currently, but I'm only in Brackley.

Avoid Crownhill's like the plague - their service department is shocking bad.  I would not like them service a wheelbarrow.

That's an interesting comment!  Just how bad?  Any examples?
(I'd guess any main dealer would be short of Omega experience and skills by now, hence my original question).

Abysmally bad.  imho, then problem stems from the service manager or DP.

They only touched my car once (when I'd had a bike accident, and couldn't do my own servicing) - they were asked to do a full service, adjust handbrake, and a full geometry check.

Fortunately for me, I'd signed the oil filter and put milage on it the previous time I changed it, yet they STILL tried to argue they had changed it, even when presented with that proof.  They left the handbrake adjusted worse than when it went in (didn't work at all afterwards). They said they had to adjust the front toe (8 degrees out), but camber was spot on - ATS who had it 2 days before had set the toe, but told me the camber was out, thus the shoulder wear.

They are either conmen or incompitent.  Personally, I believe the former, and would be happier if they went bust - we have enough cowboy garages....
