Auto Veccy's aren't exactly the most reliable  :-/

Is that true?     I would only buy an auto..... :( :(

They barley last 70k when hooked up to 3.2 V6, not sure about diesels

Any know about the auto box on the CDTi Vectra then?? :-/

The 3.0 V6 CDTI destroys the auto gearboxes, sometimes as early as mid 60k.
I wouldn't chance a 1.9 either. But as you've said you only want an auto, I think it's best to avoid the Vectra C...with a manual they're fine.

What's your criterion for a potential vehicle? I assume it must be auto? Diesel, hatch or saloon etc?

That is the problem, I don't have one  ::) ::) (going to end up boring the pants off you lot till sorted :D :D)other than Diesel and Auto or possibly an LPG conversion.

And please don't ask what my budget is :-/  a lost cause, I know ;D ;D

;D don't want you making it to easy  ;D

I go to auctions all the time, all over the country...so if you're ever after price advice...or want to track something down...let me know  :y

Unfortunately, the only diesel thing I have wouldn't fit your bill. It's a 2004 '04' Mercedes E220 CDI estate in silver 6 speed manual.

But, if you kind of know what you're after, I'll see if I can point you in the direction of something via auction.

Take away the Omega and what do you buy, Merc, BMW or Volvo? if you want a larger car that is reliable.

I suspect I may go with the other option and get a new Pug 3008 crossover......... :-/ :-/ :-/

Tried quite hard not to buy another Omega, could not buy anything else for the money, so i guess buying anything else could be described as a waist of money?

ps
Thought the above would be more usefull than a picture of a skip.  (snigger)

They are a bit heavy, for me on a day to day basis, but not out of the equation, show me a Mint tractor, auto and not silver.... ::)
Been watching this, but no indication of condition, guess I could go and look at it, just no time at the moment ::) Migt ask Philrich to have a look, tis up his neck of the woods...... :y

Only other problem is age, I must have a reliable car, a bit like our Mig and Galant I guess.... :D :D

That's interesting, I have not driven one yet...What do you mean about everything for the passenger? I know you never really get to know a car till you run it, thinks like storage and control access etc.....

well obviously its built for foriegn markets in that the dash slants slightly towards the passenger the huge storage box in the center console only opens one way and that is against the driver so if you want to get some thing out the unit its near on impossible  :-X

oh and personally i think that it handles worse than my cannal boat  ;D :y

and i cant wait till it goes back, but i spose these are just personal oppinions  :y :y
