No not me

My youngest lad (32

) got rear ended on Sunday afternoon driving his 'P' Reg. Nissan Primera. He has bad bruising across his shoulder & chest & a lot of pain across his shoulder blades, but otherwise he is all in one piece thank Heavens. The only outward visible damage to the car was a dented & jammed boot lid & loose (not damaged!!) rear bumper. On closer inspection, the rear 18" of the floorpan is rippled & twisted, so it's a 'not economically viable to repair writeoff'! Another damn good car going to motor heaven

The strange thing is, that he got a call from the other drivers insurer on Monday Morning offering him £650!!! I told him to reject it & wait for them to up the offer, but no dice!, they said they had already offered £200 more than book value, but he could also keep the car!!!! So, as I type, the
cheque is in his bank account waiting to clear, he has already found another car & put down a deposit with the remainder loaned from the Bank of Mum & Dad tomorrow!
I can't get my head around how quickly this has been settled?, It's amazing!!

Now the jammy bugger has a mint 'S' Reg Saab 2.0ltr with full Saab service history

You couldn't make it up!
