Ive started to look around and I think the biggest issue is a) having my partner on whos 29 and only been driving 7 years and b) using the car to comute to and from work.

Quotes are coming in around £800 for both of us. I have 9 years + no claims have no accidents or points on license. Ok I chose every optional extra but come on its a bloody rip off. Im paying more now then when I first learnt to drive and had a escort 1.6 turbo!  >:(

Seems extremely high... Mine is insured for myself and SWMBO, full NCD, she's only been driving about 9 years (although we are both over 30), insured for Business use as well as the normal SDP&C.

Have you tried swiftcover?
