2.0L v 2.2L TDI's
« on: 13 May 2010, 22:55:23 »

Just looking around, seems that the 2.0L is more powerful than the 2.2L ie. 136bhp to 120bhp... :-/

I've never looked at any figure for the 2.0 diesel, but I'm suprised it's stated as 136 bhp.
I know it's doubtful it's the same 2.0 DTI as the Astra G and Zafira, but I know that engine is 100 bhp.

Auto trader gives all the details on cars, MPG of the 2.0L DTI is very poor though.....  :-/

Ah, that's where the problem is...some Autotrader figures are hopelessly wrong.
The 3.0 TD6 Range Rover was quoted as having 98 BHP, and the E220 CDI as 231 BHP
Both figures are way way out, I wouldn't trust AT figures, especially on older vehicles.

That's not a diesel, it's a 4 cylinder petrol.
TDI was never a Vauxhall name for any engine in the Omega. The facelift Omega never had the 2.0 diesel engine.
Whoever's running that advert for stome odd reason has added TDi.
And that price isn't very good either.

Whoever is selling it, has no idea  :D
A reg check confirms it's a 2.0 petrol, the 2.0i gives it away really. The 2.0 has 136 bhp and the same MPG.
So whoever turns up expecting a diesel will be suprised  ;D

If you're after a diesel, the 2.0 only came pre facelift.
Facelift was 2.5 TD until 2001 'Y' plate, then it was the 2.2 DTI.
Shame the 2.5 DTI never came over from Europe, I imagine that would probably pip the 3.2 to be the most desirable model.
I'l see if I can find the 2.0 diesel Omega MPG figures  :y

I'm pretty certain the 2.0 DTi has 100 bhp.

She's had a re-map, i've removed the cat & she has only one silencer. I've also raised the intercooler above the A/C condensor (only a dumb ass would locate it there >:() & made a air flow arrangement for cool air to be pushed up to the intercooler.
Ideally it should be positioned down below & at the front of the rad, but it's better now than before :)
