I need one for an astra but i thought if it was the same as the omegas maybe someone on here would have one for spares. I was thinking i would rather get one off here than go hunting.

As it happens i went to stealers who wanted 125 all in and the guy at the counter said to try ams in thame who offered for 25+vat with a 3 month guarantee. I just need to have a good look in the engine to see if i think i can change it myself and then hopefully it will be happy days.

P.S. I might try and solder repair the existing motor first as i have read this can be done

They certainly look similar. What's wrong with yours? There's not much to go wrong, maybe the park switch inside under the riveted cover  :-/ ;)

The wipers don't move at all and there is a slight whurring noise when the stalk is moved.

If the wiper arms don't move i would suggest the wiper linkage has sized, quite common on these and in turn it may have popped the wiper fuse.

Take the linkage/ motor assy out of the car, disconnect the motor and see if the arms will move. If they don't then try soaking in WD40
( oh sorry said a swear word there, i meant plus gas or the like ::)

On some of these linkage setups its only a circlip that holds the spindle into the housing so you might be able to take it apart and give it a good clean and read grease
