I've just rented a '10 corsa to get the omega head fixed tomorrow. It is all electronic trickery, like indicators that decide when they want to cancel etc. There is also a shift icon that comes up when it wants you to shift. Right I'm going up a nearby hill, I'm in 3rd to avoid labouring the engine and doing about 28mph. This stupid thing wants me to shift up into 4th which I know will cause it to labour.

I think cars like this should have a means to cancel all this crap, and all computer programs should have a "stop being silly button" that cause the program to end immediately, no taking 10mins to save something or other.

Modern cars are for people that cant drive >:(

Just had a read... It shows a red bar if driving uneconomically... Well that's all I'll see most of the time then ::) ::)
I have a rev counter that performs that same function.  Needless to say, I drive uneconimically most of the time.

Which reminds me, I need to get recalibrated - got a lag changing 1st to 2nd now....
