The Elite is the top of the range with all the toys, heated front and rear seats, 3 position memory electric front seats which adjust the internal and external mirrors, rear electric blind, Bose stereo. The MV6 is the sportier version which has lowered stiffer suspension and sports recaro seats but almost povo spec.

Elite has all the toys, MV6 has no toys but more sporty suspension. Some say MV6 spec no better than GLS model and call it poverty spec.

On a scale of trim levels it goes.
GLS
MV6
CD
CDX
Elite

Some people put the MV6 just below the Elite, personally I find MV6 seats uncomfortable. Elite seats much nicer and softer. Depends if you want soft comfortable ride but soggy handling.
MV6 better road holding but harsher ride.

I am sure others will have a different opinion.

Have a quick look at this guide I produced, it relates to the facelift model, and the later DBW engines.

but facelift mv6 has xenons, headlight washers and CD changer, so more like CDX?

I wouldn't say my MV6 has a harsh ride compared to my Elite - firmer and much better handling, yes.
Compared to BMW E39 it's much nicer to be in!

Overall, I prefer the MV6 as it's a better drive and to be brutally honest, the Bose in the Elite isn't that much better than the standard kit in the MV6 - age might have summat to do with that though.
