Darth Loo-knee and Obi
« on: 31 May 2010, 18:50:47 »

Saw Daz for a bit today, and his nephew...great to see Daz as always, and nice to meet Jack.
Daz kindly let me have a go in Obi (KX52 HVY) and it is bloody brilliant.
For those that don't know, that vehicle used to belong to me, a 2.6 manual MV6...then the engine seized. Daz has worked wonders on it, a 3.0 engine now that sounds and goes very well, new stainless steel exhaust.
I've driven plenty of 3.2's, auto's and a manual...and I'd say Obi is just as good...if not better. It's really a credit to you Daz, now where's my cheque book to buy it back?  ::)

Obi certainly does go quite well (certainly when The Master DTM has a go), all the miles we have covered today the computer when got home reads 29.7mpg.... such alot of heavy footed driving was done so I am impressed...

Sorry Josh but Obi has a certain Value to me so unless it was met He is stopping here :-*

Enjoyed seeing you again, will pop down again soon :-*

I have done something similar in Vader so yes :y

I filled the tank this morning I have done 347.7 miles and the range says 88miles. I have done lots of stopping and starting in a traffic jam on the M25, plus called at several peoples houses to. So I honestly am impressed :y

Glad to see you got back home ok Daz . :y I would trade that sat nav in mate if it took you to Oxford via M1 and M25 from my place! Like i told you before you left i would go via Alyesbury. Around 40 miles not the 60 your sat nav said. Hope your "patwan" Jack treated you to refreshments on the way home as promised.. ;) Nice to meet you both today and have a look at Obi. You did a 1st class job there mate. :y No Rick Astley cd`s in the car though... shame. :(

No Chris, used the 2.6 wiring loom, Plenum, Cam Covers, Coil Packs plus Fuel regulator :y
However the 3.0 engine I fitted I had done alot of work on it which being fair is like a new engine.
I fitted the Stainless Exhaust which I am sure was actually made for a Facelift as it looks right under the rear bumper where as it stuck out to far on the mini facelift..
I will be at Newent in "Him"  :y :D
