WELL DONE PETE, Glad i was right and the head didnt have to come off!!!
only got to line it up with the blue links and thats easy!!
Now thats where I have a problem. It says line the dimples up but I have arrows and two of them on the large double cog, one with a 4 and one with a 6 next to it so i've used the 6 presuming that they have used the same cog on the 4 cylinder engine, lets just hope its right
Whoops, didnt you time the engine up to the old chain before you removed it? and please double check there are no dimples as well as the numbers and arrows mate!!
what year is that engine?
Hi G.
I replacing the chains because its possible the timing was out due to the engine being turned backwards and the old chains have lost there colour. I've got TBs timing kit and the pin is in the flywheel and the cam lock is one. There is a dimple on the crank pully but only arrows on the FIP pulley. The car is a 2000 on a W.
ok, so you have most of it,,there was a pin for the pump? pretty sure there is when i used the kit on tb,s however must confess 2000/w is a newer engine than i have seen inside of so the dimples may be changed to arrows etc!!!
