Drilled the Manifold for LPG nozzles
« on: 03 June 2010, 21:22:03 »

Well after removing the fuel / electronics, I have drilled the fanimold on the V6 tonight for the LPG nozzles.....

I was really nervous about this job, but actually. it's not too bad, if you take your time and have a steady hand. I have managed to get my nozzles really close up against the petrol injectors, as per Kev's install, so am pleased :y

My only queestion are - I have a bit of a mixed bag of nozzles

I have 4 of the "usual" ones, with an 8mm hex fitting and I think a 4mm pipe connection, and 2 different (alan key fitting) ones.

Now, the internal diameters are the same on both - so flow shouldn't be an issue - but, would it affect it if I use 4mm pipe on the 4, and 5/6mm pipe on the other two? Would this affect flow?  :-/

I've Kevin already done mine, been on LPG for a few weeks.  These are spares that Kevin was going to get predrilled for other members considering LPG...

If it's not particularly urgent, I could collect them and do them when I come and badger you for ECU updates  :D :y

I think all the ones I currently have are 3.0 so the 2.5s would certainly be worth hanging on to.

The spare one I have is a 3.0 one which I presume is the same as a 3.2 one?

There's a mark in the casting indicating which is which. Either "25" or "30". I assume the ports are slightly narrower on the 2.5 but don't have a pair to compare.
