What can I say, but cheers!
« on: 29 June 2007, 23:58:11 »

Well am sat here watching Jonathan Ross, bit of a tosser, but makes me laugh! Having a few San Miguel’s to celebrate my small personal victory of curing my stalling problem and uping my MPG! ;)
Me and the wife used to have a 3ltr elite each, both 99’s and her’s was chipped, we always had the luxury of being able to run cars straight into my local garage at the first blip in performance.  ::)
Well as time goes on, and life changes, situations never work out the way you plan them, and hence a year later find ourselves suffering at the hands of a 97 Saab 900 XS! OH THE HORROR! :'(  It was nice on the inside, but talk about under powered,  it was like driving a sleep Hut (stars wars reference there)
It just had to go, no way on the money that’s worth was I gonna get a half decent mega!
But on the budget I had Timbuk sorted me out, and cheers for that. :y

A few weeks ago I knew dick about what makes an Omega go, but with the help and advice I have been given on this forum I have learnt fukin loads in the since then, didnt even have the right tools to kick off with :o
Beginning of this week I was nervous about taking the plenum off, today its like ‘Bring it on’ In a week of asking questions and listening to advice, and of course browsing through the maintenance guides I learnt more about what makes a mega tick that I knew in the last 10 year!
The maintanence guides, I mean, those phucking guides are worth there weight in platinum!
And the thing is, I get a real kick from working on the car, had the plenum the breathers and a pot of carb cleaner on the kitchen table today, SWMBO went mental, did I give a toss?

NO! CAUSE AT LAST, I KINDA KNOW WHAT IM DOING, AND THATS DOWN TO YOU GUYS!

So I thank all you guys for your invaluable advice. And I shit you not, there are no better oracles than you lot for hands on, experienced advice on megas.

So brace yourselfs for more noob questions, cause I got a taste for it now!

So in a nut shell, thanks fellas! :y

Go on - how many San Miguels did you have  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D?????

Absolutely delighted for you matey. Am in exactly the same position as you. Was very apprehensive about the potential downfalls (financial too) of owning an Omega being top of the range and the service costs required to be set alongside the Mortgage payments - and then you come across this Forum :o   Exactly the same sentiments.

soooperb site    :y :y :y :y

Although still had no constructive feedback about my diff problem  http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1183137836 Shameless plug there 8-)
