has anyone else tryed dab radio in a car my wife has it in her focus titaium . and it is total rubbish just driven from kent to luton and back and it spent most of the time with no dab recption . it was just as bad on her last focus ( AA driving instruckor ) so its not just this car . if the goverment are switching off the anlouge signal soon are they going to do anything about the poor recption issues first ?

how old is the Focus? - early dab stuff was rubbish but I am getting much better performance now on dab radios compared to 2 to 3 years ago.

ive got a dab radio in the house and it's s***e got it for nothing last year.over rated crap ;)
And I stay less than 2 miles away from a main radio transmiter :o

I have been using a Highway dab receiver in my Elite now for over a year and it is the best bit of kit I have ever bought.
When first fitted it had the silly little stick on windscreen aerial which gave very poor reception although it did work better in London.
I then bought a Hal 3 roof aerial and fitted it in place of the Elite,s existing traffic master rubber aerial...what a difference...excellent reception nearly always and I drive around a fair bit....Planet rock all the way and as said wouldn,t swop it especially with the bose turned up.

I use a dab radio while working (sparky) and dont have any problems. I can get radio 2 and absolute 80's anywhere

her focus is on a 59 plate and her last one was a 09 . maybe its just a ford sony problem ?

I've got a Blsupunkt DAB in the estate with the cheap stick on windscreen aerial and I can't fault it. Great reception almost everywhere I've been, with the exception of one section of the A14 where FM drops out too. Have to say we've got a DAB at work and it's useless, go figure!

the living-room DAB players are pretty useless too - best thing to do to get better reception is to use the radio stations off the TV and run an RCA pair into your hifi amp.  :)

had a DAB fitted last year............if you dump the stupid windscreen aerial and have an external roof mounted one in the usual aerial position it's fine.

Love the stations on DAB - like amba06128 says, Planet Rock all the way! :y :y

In the house reception fine apart from Magic which is like listening in a hurricane! >:(

I was talking about my wifes nearly brand new ford focus with a factory fit sony dab radio fitted . It must be the fact its ford and sony as to why its rubbish lol

Just remember that DAB will NOT get you better quality audio than FM.
