A big thank you
« on: 15 June 2010, 17:23:39 »

To Mark DTM Calibration, Omegatoy and The Boy for all thier advice to do with my 2.5 Wheesel  :y

Its up and running today, started second turn of the key which was a suprise as i've never worked on a diesel before. So i've had it about 9 months, covered about 25 miles and spent a fortune on it and there's still more to come. I've replaced the clutch, timing chains, tensioners and guide's, glow plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, cabin filter, front and rear disc's and pad's, removed the EGR valve and plastic turbo diesel part that covers the engine in sticky oil. Next up is 4 tyres, the MOT, chip and de-cat.

I had my suspicions because it would drip oil on me every now and again when I was working under the car ::)

Possibly not. I've got to work on another car today and tomorrow i'm dropping the Elite off with its new owner :'(

I may give the Lakes a miss on Friday and see if I can get the diesel finished and mot'd and make my way up on Saturday.

Fair play to you for effort and dogged determination though. [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif] [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif] [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

Yep. There is a stud to the right of the head which I removed with two nuts tightened together, I replaced it with a bolt, just incase it has to come apart again ::)
