Auto trader

Has anyone tried using their site recently?

They've been bu66ering about with it changing the look of it and I've been trying to put the Elite on there but the site won't recognised that I've logged in to place an advert. I've done the usual deleting of cookies, temp files etc. but no different. I emailed them and their reply was to send them my emaill address and password to validate my account. What?? I've used it before so it's valid. What do they need my password for? Sounded a bit fishy to me...  :-/

Anyone else had this? (Is anyone else using Auto trader?)

I've put my bike on Bike Trader (same site) it is rubbish for remembering details on vehicles you put for sale.

It took about 24 hours before my advert was visible in My Account > Live Adverts

Give them a call if something needs sorting, I did, as bikes listed under BMW > R1200 > was Merc Avantage  ::)

I rang them and had them edit the summary text

Used to use AT all the time, not now though, too expensive, ste never works well enough to warrant the new expensive cost, so eBay and free sites I use now, and word of mouth  :y

Their head office is round the back of our house almost, or was last I looked. I've placed adds before in person and they rarely get it right even when they submit the ad themselves. In dealing with them and sorting out issues I'm aware of some infighting with the it spods there. Difficult individuals to say the least.

However I've found it the most productive and agro free way to sell a vehichle, which doesn't say much for gay bay!
