Cruise control
« on: 22 June 2010, 21:36:21 »

Whats the biggest distance you have travelled in the UK with your cruise control on. Today I went  40.7 mls before I touched the brakes. Anyone beat it? Its not easy, I tell you. :y

Never gone that far, I find though I do use it in the BM a lot to stop me getting caught by speed camera's, quite good using it at around 30 mph  :y

M6 stretch then M56 gives a bit of a chance.....

Possible to take the M6/M56 junction at 60-70mph

I've played this game in the early hours of morning on way home from late-shift.  :y Takes great anticipation doesn't it when the change in speed is 1.5mph. I assume you mean that you speeded up and slowed down using cruise control. I've never travelled anywhere near that far though. Probably get slated for being childish but hey ho, little things and all that............ :y

This is mainly what I use mine for and keeping the speed sensible when the van is on the back. :y

No cheating. Set the cruise at what ever speed thenstick with it. We should have a comp to see who travelled the furthest without touching the brakes. The challenge is to beat 40.7 mls at the moment. Go on beat that. Be honest though :y

Way way further than that in Spain and Germany but then the roads are less congested and Spain is a bigger country.
