Scumbag Drivers
« on: 28 June 2010, 08:30:46 »

Hi i live on a lane that is part residential. i have had numeruos cars damaged outside the house because people drive too fast and dont know how to drive. Last night was another occasion. My o/s mirror has been taken clean off by some scumbag that has hit it and driven off. Im now left with cost of replacement and the time to fit it.Why is it people are just so careless.

That's disappointing news Neil and I'm sorry to hear it, I would think it's because a lot of people don't give a monkey's as there's no sanction to induce them to do otherwise and, they have no regard for the property of others.

Two additional points which help in the explanation :y

had the same problems a while a go neilr - after joining the local neighbourhood watch group we have..

a) had temporary camera surveillance whilst investigations were on.
b) had speed bumps installed which slowed traffic on our "race track" down from 50mph to 20 mph (had to fight for these as they cost £4000 each.  :o)
c) the council finally made our neighbourhood ward an alchohol free zone, thereby enabling those drinking in public to be prosecuted, eliminating a lot of noise, trouble and unsupervised "camp fires" on park land.

also thanks to a local retired police detective who had all the "know how" to implement everything through the right channels.

a camera in your lane could help track down offenders, they are also expensive but worth fighting for  8-)

hi would love council to put in a camera it would create loads of revenue for them. I know just how slow this council is to react though. We have playing field opposite so used by children and the entrance is on a bend youd think that this would be enough to encorage safety measures! I have had cars written off before now by racing drivers running into them.
Cest la vie.

Covert cameras are the best and can be hidden in your car ,,, these are the best things... get evidence , go to you local council and Police and even the press to get things moving at pace...

If you need a hand what sort of gear is out there PM me and I will be more than happy to help...and no... Im not a shop or seller.. had this happen to me.

Regards

Not a driver, but a pedestrian scumbag had knocked my Corsa wing mirror, leaving it dangling... which is nice to find at 6am.  Good job that there's no electrics, and it pops back on.  Took me a while the first time it happened.  Some people just seem to have no respect for anything.

Run a security and surveilance company if anybody needs any advice or equipment, not a sales pitch, just help if you need it.

Mike.........PM me.
