Maiden Voyage
« on: 01 July 2010, 08:53:28 »

I took Sprout for her maiden voyage yesterday to get her mot'd. She passed but with an advisory for the rear brake pipes so I need to get them sorted. I have been looking for a brake pipe flaring tool, has anyone any recommendations. This is the one i'm thinking of buying

Hi Pete,
have got both of these in the workshop at swindon and yes they do the job, not the best in the world but they work, if you intend to keep it for life then by a better one, these types tend to make the flare just off centre, then sometimes you get a sealing issue and indeed have known the flare to collapse when doing up the union,
so bottom line is yep they work just take your time with them and very carefully check the flare when its made, if not happy then do it again till you are
G :y
