The other daily driver..
« on: 04 July 2010, 16:17:30 »

Well the MV6 is the future daily car, but figured I'd show you which engine that led me to actual full time Omega ownership.

The GM V6. This one, part Cavalier, part vectra, mainly Omega 3.0. My design my mates fabrication (mounts etc) 243bhp is perfect in an Ascona C (mk2 Cav!)

Have A Vec on a 2.6, MV6 on a 3.0, Ascona SRe on a 3.0
These engines have so much going for them if looked after, infinitely reliable, almost indestructible with the amount of stick mine took on the euro tour last year. She did 155 on the Autobahn with more to give in 6th!

Will take some nice shots of the mega and get it up in the gallery when I get it back from my parents who are loving it compared to their old Vectra B reptacular. (they need a car for a couple months a year as they live abroad normally)

Ascona is half the weight of the mega' too!  8-)

Anyway, if this is in the wrong thread feel free to move! Just thought I'd share as after billing I'll be putting a pontiac engine in my mums old Jamaica yellow GL 81 cavalier and ascii will be stored!

Sorry for the pics on this thread not being up to much I'm not on my normal computer at the moment. Have got some which are not camera phones!

Cheers Mike.

I know it's not everyone's cuppa, but your not wrong! There isn't much it wont wind up royally when used in anger.

Should be at billing with my MV6 behind the mk2cav stand for support!
