MOT time again
« on: 06 July 2010, 10:39:39 »

Just put the estate through MOT. It's got 153k on clock at moment. I bought it with 118k on it 2 and half years ago. When I bought it I changed the wishbones.
It failed today on the o/s ball joint. Could it go already?
I am happy enough as thought the exhaust was blowing too.
It only failed on Handbrake (needs new fittiing kit for pads) and the wishbone.
I am planning on selling it after I mot it as I need to downsize to save pennys.
It a T plate if anyone interested

"New fitting kit for pads"
won't alter the handbrake adjustment, do you mean fitting kit for handbrake shoes.
Strip it all down and clean and re assemble/adjust, there's a guide in the maintenance section on handbrake/rear brakes. :y

Ours failed on the same balljoint in March, about the same time since the wishbones were changed, so yeah, they may not last long, depending on the quality of the product fitted.  Can't remember where those ones came from, other than Ebay.  Money not wisely spent.  :(
