the ar25 was chewed by the bm engine then fitted the ar35 and she's lasted less than a year.........whats going on there then????
then engine is standard bhp.....second gear started shuddering yesterday after after going into limp mode. changing manually 1st gear upwards and shuddering through 2nd into 3rd.

Sure it was an AR35? Even heavily chipped TD with an AR35 & a certain admin driving could take the punishment

Gearbox, I believe, not back box, although the title is ambiguous. ;)

The AR35 is still going strong in my old TD, despite the abuse I gave it (lots).  No idea how much abuse Squealey now gives it, but I'm sure he is easily lead astray by chavs in beemers who think they are quicker than they are :P

Every time I talk about that car, I realise how much I loved it  :'(.  Still, live moves on, and she went to a very good home in Lincolnshire :y

Yep, and LFF64 loved lying under it in the rain. ;D

.. and we all loved fitting the engine so much we dragged the job out for as long as we could, not wanting it to end, instead of finishing it 3 hours earlier and going for a curry. ;)
