My first Omega
« on: 08 July 2010, 22:50:05 »

Well here is my first Omega, It's a 1997 2.5 CDX 91500 miles FSH up to 79000.
Good bits

Even has it's original Nokia car phone and works 100%

Now bad bits :(

Plus a couple of odd jobs to do, new MID, dash bulbs, electronic air con panel bulbs.
But she drives GREAT  :y

You're right Andy, every single Omega estate I've seen has had at least a very minor rust patch under the wiper spindle. Even my '03' 3.2 Elite estate had it, but thankfully that's been taken care of now.
And indeed Zulu, it is a good colour. There never seems to be many red Omega's about.

Venom - Hopefully you'll be able to make the next Oxford meet on the 17th. It would be nice to meet you, and you can get to know some of the locals...you'd be more than welcome  :y

Not seen one of those for a while! I remember thinking how tiny that model was back in 1994 when we were given one for testing. ;D

Thanks for the good comments, to be honest I thought it might have been seen as rough  :y

Spent a fair bit of time cleaning today, first off the engine bay.

Then started claying the body it looked not to bad and it felt a bit rough but wasn't expecting it to be quite so bad.

Light stopped play for today but will carry on tomorrow when I get back from picking up my new MID  :y :y
