Anybody know how difficult a job it is to change the clutch on a MK1 ford focus (its a 1.8 tdi) :question

with the front subrame dropped its fairly easy ,if you try with the frame in place its tight but can(I've done it) be done

Are you sure its the clutch and not the clutch master cylinder which is a common one on the Focus

Driven autos for that long can't remember what a slipping clutch is like.

Just seems that when it goes into fourth and fifth that the revs go up but takes a bit longer for any pick up if you get where im coming from? Any suggestions?

Just hope it s not this DMF thing i read about on the ford forum although very little of what was said on there made any sense

Thats would clatter when starting up and cause vibrations....not clutch slip

Thats good news then no clatter just seems to rev a bit before picking up in forth and fifth :-/
