A major question on the "legality" would be the "E" marking .. or lack of it....

Bulbs and lenses must be "E" marked to be legal in UK .. the Landrover ones above are OK, the Audi ones will be no doubt .. but cheap imports from China ... somehow I doubt it .. :(

i have been asked to do this before failed miserably... :-/
will attempt tomorrow when i get back from work.
the headlights are very noticeable, however the rear is very subtle more of making a better distinction between tail/brake more effective at night but this helped prevent falling into that chavvy image by not being to sporty. if i succeed in photos will put in gallery to ecause loads have been done to it but im not very good at this sort of stuff joining this forum was technical to me!

Pictures are no more difficult...

If I can manage it then I'm sure it's within the ability of most other folk! Register an account with "Photobucket" (Google it), it's much the same as registering on this site. Then just upload any photos you choose from your computer and Photobucket will provide links that you can 'copy and paste' into any posts you make on OOF.
If you get stuck I'm sure some of the friendly folk on here will help.

By the way, if you like the look of the black leather in my Mv6 then it is for sale!

Out of curiosity I bought some:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-H1-HID-Xenon-White-25-SMD-LED-Bulb-Head-Light-Lamp-/140429454944?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b23f6e60

And

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X-9-LED-SMD-360-Xenon-T10-w5w-501-sidelight-12V-NEW-/140429454891?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b23f6e2b

Couldn't resist when I saw them for so little cash, have to wait and see what they are like when they turn up. Bought plenty of stuff from HK before from Ebay and never had any problems, in fact I have stuff arrive from HK before stuff posted from the UK :o

I think the "Easy to assemble" is broken English for "Easy to fit" got to love the Chinese ads.

I remember buying RC helicopter stuff, one of the shops motto's was "Have a super fun flying time" or something.

When mine arrive I will do a before and after fitting picture session also. Can't see them in Poundland, QD maybe ::)

Always made me laugh, trolling the various Chinese sites for my heli bits and bots, but they are spot on with delivery and what not, never had an issue.

Having said that, the LED blubs I have ordered are showing as dispatched so hopefully wont be too long before I get my mits on them.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they are like, though I'm not expecting too much ::)

OK bulbs arrived today, and well, bit of a fail really ::)

The 501 sidelight bulbs are slightly too big to get into the hole, and rather than get it stuck or once in there have it fall into the lamp it self I decided not to try and fit them.

The H1's are also a pig to get in but they do fit with some fiddling, but, the light output is barely noticable. Even in daylight my original bulbs cast a beam onto the wall, the LED did not. In fact I had to crouch down in front of the light to see if they were even on :o Also threw up a fail on the display. Not even worthy of me getting the camera out to take a pic.

Might be a different story with non projector lamps perhaps, dunno?

Just glad I didn't spend a fortune on them, worth a punt for a fiver I guess but my advice, save your money :y

My H1's also came today, same story :-(

Oh well at least I didn't waste a fortune.

Doesn't harm to have tried, it could have been a amazing success.
