As I said to the wife, more than once, while driving in Austria/Germany last year...How many Omega's do you see, against the huge numbers of Mercs and BM's.  ?

So !  Whats the rarer car ?

Well after bringing my Irmscher Omega down to Northern Italy in April, I'm taking her back home again, the car gets a lot of attension in Milan as there are no other omega here (I think i've seen 2 estates) and its right hand drive, so anyway I'm driving her back to Glasgow via Switzerland, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belguim then back into France to Calais the reason for this route is that you avoid the tolls in France and save about €45 and the route is only about 30 miles longer and driving via Luxembourg means you can also fill up at about £1 a litre there :y

Sounds a bargain, it cost us over €100 to get from calais to annecy!
I know road tolls are such a rip of, when I drove to Monte Carlo last weekend it cost €54.00 for a return journey of a distance of 400 miles round trip and we where stuck in traffic >:(I'm glad we don't pay road tolls in the UK

But if the Govt get their way, SOON.....................

I've started to pack the miggy this morning ready for the journey home, as I might get away from work a day earlier :y

Safe journey Jim... Look forward to your reports of LPG(GPL) stations for my trip in September :y Particularly interested in Luxembourg/Switzerland as I know it's not commonplace in either country but would (obviously ::)) like to take advantage of the cheaper prices in either of these countries as I will be filling with Petrol anyway :y

Well thats me home, I covered 1,120 miles in 22 hours including the Ferry crossing, I lost 2 hours at the San Gotthard Tunnel in Switzerland so I was late for my ferry and had to pay extra to get on the next one, my original ferry crossing which I booked 2 days ago was only £30 but I had to pay an extra £60 to get on the next avaliable crossing >:(
