Nigel Langs Excellent Job
« on: 30 July 2010, 21:57:37 »

[tr]I a few months back was going down the London area so decided to get Mrs. Loo-knee's elite estate's suspension changed. Wishbones, droplinks. Shocks and Springs then a trip to WIM for the cambers etc to be set up.

Anyway after my visit I was rather dissappointed as the steering wheel wasn't level when driving in a straight line also it pulled heavily to the left. I had an appointment to keep and so had not got time to go back to complain.
Being fair Tony Bones was not the person that did the job and also on a different thread said if I returned with the car he would check it for me. But it is a long way from home and decided against it.
The other day I had the estate up on the jack and noticed that the inside edge of both front tyres were getting worn, so phoned my mate Zok as he had told me of somewhere near Manchester that he had used. I got the number from The Captain then rang Langs. I told them what had happened and so they made me an appointment for today.
The car now drives straight as an arrow plus the setting were wrong
 :(
A cost of £86 plus my fuel.

I got home then phoned Tony at WIM to let him know who says he will look into it.

So anyway, if anyone wants to get there Cambers setting up this place is worth a visit. Do a good job and nice people too :y

Had mine wim'd today, suspension had dropped since last set up when new springs where fitted, they will settle in, ride hight affects camber.

Plus I think they are winding me up, must be a note against my reg, something like, never set this car with the steering wheel straight. It's off the other way this time. Never has my car left wim with the steering wheel right.

I've used Nigel Langs before to set the suspension on the MX5 I had and I was very happy with the job Pete did with it :)

Mine is slightly to the right but too scared to get it fixed locally as they would stuff the camber & tracking up

Adjusting toe alone won't affect camber. (but adjust the camber, and toe will be out)
