Another unproductive day
« on: 01 August 2010, 19:23:34 »

Looked like it was going to rain this morning, so rather than get wet, I played with a NCDC2013 and a CID (not Omega) I had acquired.

NCDC, no code index on it which is odd, yet does think it has a telematics  :-/.  Looks like its got a fault with the cd flap sensor.  Job for another day, as don't want to get too involved, in case sun comes out and I can play with the Rover's ABS fault.

CID, cannot get it to work.  Assuming its from an early veccy, but even after making up a loom, no go.  Presumably it doesn't need to talk to other CAN devices to start up (looks like it is the interface between mid and low speed can)?

Still grim outside, so decide to play with a little pressie I picked up last Tuesday.  Only laptop I have with required port just hangs when the software starts.  Bugger this, gonna have lunch.

Looks brighter outside, so jack up the Rover again, hoping the ABS sensor bolt will be more cooperative, having had a blast of WD overnight (no plusgas, and chunkynuts in town won't sell anything uselful like that).  Oh cock, rounded off the bloody bolt  >:(

Sod the Rover, lets fix the leak on the MV6.  Success at last :D. Except I need to clear a fault code because some idiot left the ICV connector off  ::)

On the upside, the ZX10 has another years MOT on it :D

I was eyeing that up earlier, but then couldn't remember why I had it  :-[ - in fairness, I probably had a hangover when we talked about it  ::)

I dont have a charger to fit it and it may well have some software that would be handy for your Rover....

You may find this an odd concept, but I do this strange thing that most people call 'work' during the week ;)
