non starting ford ranger, use to start after excessive cranking , now a non starter.

fuel system ok to filter and on to the pump, just nothing out of the injection pump.
dropped the fuel soleniod stop out, still nothing.

did notice on wrapping up thou that the glow plug light flashing instead of constant/off.
 any thoughts.

52 plate ranger 2.5 td (izuzu)

The flashing glow plug light on a ranger mean ecu in limp home mode. Worth getting codes read if poss. The engine is a mazda unit not izuzu.

not sure,but think the ranger uses a mazda obd system not the usual 16 pin job.

obd, not 16 pin hence 2 techies to check. ALL the glow plugs are duff apparently, still dont know why this would stop the fueling thru the pump. find out tomorrow after techie fits the plugs..
