After about 700 miles, I dropped the oil last night, bloody hell, was disgusting!  how it can get so bad in a short space I do not know!

Didnt have a filter in stock, so was just the oil.

Ill be doing it again in 500 or so miles so not too worried.

Not very impressed with the brakes, so got a new set of front disks and pads to go on, but that can wait till sometime after my little op this week.

That's what I want to know.........when i bought my car, I had to do a couple of 2k oil changes before it looked even a bit cleaner!  That FORTE oil cleaner stuff is good though.......but you have to do a short change after using that too as it removes just about everything. I removed and cleaned out the sump as well, made a real difference, my engine is really quiet now.

I suspect TB3's oil will need some regular quick changes - it was rank when MDTM and I did it a couple of weeks back.

Only done a couple of hundred miles since then, so will give it another couple of hundred...
