But JV6CDX is right, most of us do chill out a bit as we get older.  Much less does seem to get under my skin nowadays....

So it is with Massive thanks to Elite Pete that the thermostat has been changed, along with the cambelt kit et al  :D :D :D :D :D

B Bolt lived up to its name...looks like when I attempted it and gave up sharpish due the pain I must have slipped with the spanner. :-[

Started up, and running lovely, more progress tomorrow  :D :D :D

With even more thanks to Pete, today he did the wishbones, and outer track rod ends  :y

I wish I had bought the full track rod's though....

cos it just failed its MOT on the inner joints,  :'( still I am up to doing those, so Monday should be on the road.

(also failed on headlight aim, but they have adjusted that, was way out, but thought it was due to a knackered level sensor, but even with that working the aim was wrong)

In the not too distant future will give it new front disks and pads, and tidy up the brake lines, and it will need new rear subframe bushes too.

Driving nicely though  :D

At least the end is in sight now

Good work gents.

I also found a failed track rod end today. Drivers outer giving almost 7mill of play in the 3-9 "o cock" position. Arse!.......also giving a good clonk noise over larger bumps.

Cheers for the A'bunadh James and thanks to Ljay for keeping me fed and watered :y

The MOTer was a bit tight failing it on the inner track rod end, there was only the nearside one that had any significant play in it :(

Oh well its and easy enough job ;)

 ;D

Cant remember the exact story...1st time Mark got in the car he didnt like the dash, turned out the airbag wasnt attached.

He managed to sort it all out somehow, but I havent a torx bit that doesnt spin in one of the bolts that holds the glovebox in.

Easy enough to sort with a file or sommat....but Im not that bothered.  It can stay.
