How strange...
« on: 12 August 2010, 18:10:10 »

The battery in the car I'm stripping appears to have gone totally flat in the space of two days. It had been showing absolutely no signs of loosing it's charge even though the car has been off the road for a few weeks, yet today I go to unlock it using the fob and nothing... my first thought was a dodgy battery connection within the key-fob so I opened the car door manualy expecting the alarm to go off, but nothing. I try to start the car but no power at all to dash lights... I opened the bonnet half expecting the battery to have been nicked but no, it's all connected and still green in the little window.

I'm going to go and swap the battery with the one on the Vectra I'm now driving but does any-one know why the Omega has suddenly died? Has it realized it's days are numbered and reconciled it's self to the fact it's going to the Scrapyard, soon?

I was expecting some sort of warning though, dim ignition lights, maybe a click from the starter solenoid or something.
Just seemed weird, as if the battery had been disconnected...
