I'm surprised this hasn't had any bids on Bay of E
« on: 14 August 2010, 18:04:40 »

3.2 with "blown engine". http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OMEGA-SPARES-REPAIR-2002-52-3-2-V6-ELITE-/290463400384?pt=Automobiles_UK

Must be a decent engine somewhere just waiting to go in this car?

Sorry if I have blown someones cover hoping to snipe it for £500 at last second! :-[

I intend on purchasing that vehicle to remove a few parts for my own. It is a '52' plate, but it's the earlier model, so unfortunately the leather isn't right for my car...but there's still quite a few bits I'll have from it

After 2002 on a '52' plate the style of leather changed  :y

WE THINK THAT A HEAD GASKET MAY HAVE GONE, AND WHERE THE CAR HAS BEEN LEFT STANDING UNTOUCHED FOR SOME TIME, WATER MAY HAVE GOT INTO THE BORES/CYLENDERS AND THAT COULD BE WHY ITS SIEZED UP.

Hmm. Masters of engine diagnostics then. ;D

It's not far from me if someone wants an eye cast over it.. Not much time left now though. ::)

I've decided against it, the only bits I actually wanted from it were the rear blind and coolant expansion tank. The rest of it I don't really need, it's a shame it's the earlier 2002 model, otherwise I'd keep the wheels and use the leather...but as it is...it's not quite right for me.
So Del, or anyone else - Buy it  :y
Just as long as I can buy the blind and tank from you  ::)  ::)

I'm defiantly considering it. I wonder if it has a CID.
